Privacy Policy
Deutsche Fassung: DatenschutzerklärungController
The controller within the meaning of Art. 4 (7) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for data processing on this website is: Chronos North GmbH, Riedackerstr. 4a, 69509 Mörlenbach, Germany. Contact: [email protected].
The short version
This is a static informational website. It has no user accounts, no comment functions, no newsletter, no contact forms, no advertising and no third-party tracking. It sets no cookies. Usage is measured with cookieless, self-hosted analytics that create no personal profiles (see “Web analytics (self-hosted)”). Fonts and images are hosted by us and loaded from this website’s own domain. The game trailer can be played via an embedded YouTube player that only connects to Google after you actively press play (see “YouTube trailer” below); beyond that, no third-party content is embedded.
The only personal data processed when you merely visit this site is the connection data that is technically required to deliver a website to your browser (see “Hosting” below), plus the aggregate, anonymous usage statistics described under “Web analytics (self-hosted)”.
Hosting and content delivery
This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (“Cloudflare”), on the Cloudflare Pages infrastructure with delivery through Cloudflare’s global content delivery network. When you access this website, Cloudflare processes the connection data your browser transmits — in particular your IP address, the requested URL, date and time of the request, the browser’s user-agent string and the referrer URL — to deliver the site, to balance load and to detect and defend against attacks (e.g. DDoS). This data is stored in short-lived server and security logs. We ourselves do not receive, store or evaluate these logs beyond aggregate, non-personal statistics.
The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure, stable and efficient delivery of this website. We have concluded a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) with Cloudflare. Where data is transferred to Cloudflare in the United States, the transfer is safeguarded by Cloudflare’s certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and by EU standard contractual clauses.
Cookies
This website itself sets no cookies of any kind — which is why it also shows no cookie banner. Our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary security cookie in exceptional situations (for example while mitigating an attack, to distinguish humans from bots). Such cookies are technically required within the meaning of § 25 (2) No. 2 TDDDG, are not used for tracking and are deleted automatically.
If you choose to play the embedded YouTube trailer, YouTube/Google may set cookies or use similar technologies after your click — see “YouTube trailer” below. Simply not playing the video prevents this entirely.
Web analytics (self-hosted)
We measure how this website is used with a self-hosted instance of the open-source analytics software Umami, running on infrastructure operated for us — no third-party analytics provider receives any data. Umami works without cookies and without storing or accessing information on your device (§ 25 TDDDG is therefore not triggered — which is also why there is still no cookie banner). It creates no visitor profiles: IP addresses are not stored, and visitors are counted via a salted hash that changes daily and cannot be traced back to you.
What we see is aggregate only: pages viewed, referrers, country, browser type and clicks on outbound links (for example which store page a visitor chose). Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in understanding, in aggregate, how our website and its store links are used. You can object to this processing at any time (Art. 21 GDPR) using the contact details above.
YouTube trailer (click-to-load)
The game trailer can be played via an embedded player from YouTube, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). We use YouTube’s extended privacy mode (youtube-nocookie.com) together with a click-to-load mechanism: while you merely browse this site, no connection to Google exists and only a locally hosted preview image is shown. Only when you actively press the play button is the YouTube player loaded — from that moment on, Google processes your IP address, device information and viewing behavior, and may set cookies or use similar technologies. Google may transfer such data to Google LLC in the USA; Google is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Details: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
The legal basis for loading the player is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, § 25 (1) TDDDG), which you give through the clearly marked play click and can withhold simply by not playing the embedded video.
Contact by email
If you contact us by email (e.g. at [email protected]), we process the personal data contained in your message (your email address and anything you write) to handle your inquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your inquiry relates to a contract, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in answering correspondence. We delete such correspondence once the purpose is fulfilled, unless statutory retention obligations require longer storage.
Press kit and downloads
The press kit is provided via an external Google Drive folder maintained by our publisher — following the press-kit link takes you to Google, whose own privacy policy applies (see “External links”). Viewing the trailer or downloading files on this website itself is a normal website request: only the connection data described under “Hosting” is processed, not personalized, gated or tracked.
External links
This website links to external platforms such as Steam, the Epic Games Store, PlayStation, Xbox and social networks (e.g. Discord, X, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok). No data is transmitted to these providers while you merely browse this website. Only when you click such a link does the respective provider process your data under its own privacy policy, for which we are not responsible.
Your rights
As a data subject, you have the following rights under the GDPR:
- Access to your personal data (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Objection to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Complaint to a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR) — for example the authority competent for us: Der Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit (HBDI)
No automated decision-making
We do not use automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR. You are neither contractually nor legally obliged to provide personal data to use this website.
Changes to this policy
We will update this privacy policy whenever the website’s functionality changes (for example if analytics or a newsletter is ever added). Last updated: 2026-07-20.
